What is the best pool heater? - consumer reports pool heater

I want a heater in the pool. I checked Consumer Reports and could not find anything on this topic. I want a heater that will last for many years.

If you plan to stay home and not sell more than 5 years, otherwise I would have put the heat on a bomb, "" style heater. Do not burn propane, oil or gas, or with huge amounts of electricity. It has a fan and a compressor is electric, so it consumes about as much energy as you have a freezer. However, operating costs ... that's it!

They are very expensive to install, but. So I have to tell you, I will not go that way, if you sell next year. You do not get the return on investment.

Note that the heating fuels a lot of fuel! They are typically 250,000 to 400,000 BTU for BTU. In other words, the size of two to four times higher than in a typical oven at home! What Mark ...Raypak, Hayward, laars they are all very similar for both types of fuel ...

I have a saltwater pool and a heat pump, hot style ... I would not be there otherwise!

I replaced my last year teldyne Hayward. great work.
I heard from a man who ran the PVC in your attic to create a heat exchanger. Heat from the heating of the pool on the roof and keeps the attic cooler lower air conditioning bills. Of course there are limits to this system. I could not do it because my pump is twelve meters from the house
